The Indigo Road heads north!  Jeremiah Bacon (executive chef and partner of Oak Steakhouse and The Macintosh), Joseph Jacobson (executive chef de cuisine of Oak Steakhouse) and Steve Palmer (managing partner of the Indigo Road) are in New York City this week to participate in the Carnivore’s Delight dinner at the James Beard House tonight.  The chefs will prepare a Certified Angus Beef ® brand prime cap of ribeye with aligot potatoes, sweet potato coins, butter-glazed kohlrabi and sauce bordelaise.

 

Back down in Charleston, S.C., congratulations are in order for The Cocktail Club!  Not only has the upscale cocktail lounge been nominated for cocktail lounge of the year by Nightclub & Bar Magazine, spiritist Jasmine Beck is in the running for bartender of the year.” Winners will be announced in early February, and a celebration will be held in Las Vegas in March. Not to stop there, The Cocktail Club was also listed as one of the “top 50 bars in the U.S.”by Find.Eat.Drink. F.E.D highlighted the club’s specialty cocktails which guests can learn to make during cocktail classes hosted by Beck on the first Saturday of every month.
